so i was driving down the highway going about 80mph—-oh, and I was also watching a movie on a dvd player in my car (real smart right?). i got all caught up in watching the movie and didn’t notice that the traffic had stopped in front of me. i looked up and didn’t even have time to say anything or put on my breaks—-i hit the car in front of me going 80mph. after the impact i don’t remember very much, just the horrible sounds of crunching metal and screaming tires. when my car came to a stop about 100 yards from the point of impact, i was able to crawl out through the driver side window to safety. after i got out of the car, this guy came running up and started screaming at me about how i almost killed his little 3 year old son. i’ll never forget the mixture of anger and terror on his face. he told me later that if i had hurt his son, he didn’t know what he would have done to me. i was fine after the crash—-not a scratch, but i had almost killed a 3 year old kid who hopefully will not remember me or the horrible crash i caused.
